Venkatramanan RamanAssociate Professor
Venkat Raman is associate professor of aerospace engineering and engineering mechanics and affiliated with the ICES Center for Predictive Engineering & Computational Sciences (PECOS). He earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Iowa State University in 2003. He joined The University of Texas at Austin in 2005 following a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Turbulence Research at Stanford University. He works in the area of computational reacting flows, focusing on the development of novel computational models for aircraft and stationary gas turbines, supersonic vehicles, and combustion-based synthesis of nano materials. Raman received the National Science Foundation CAREER award in 2008.
